We had a very nice Thanksgiving. The plane ride to Houston with Jack went really well! I was actually surprised how well Jack did. He got a little fussy a few times, but eventually in my lap. It was so nice not to have to have him in a car seat on the plane.
We had a great time in Houston. Jack ate some turkey and seemed to like that. We even braved the zoo! It was so hot and humid,(for Novemeber) and I had broken my toe the night before tripping over the suitcase, so it was not a blast. Jack did not want to ride in the stroller and demanded to be carried. He did seem to enjoy seeing the elephants. I look forward to taking him when he is older, and really gets a kick out of it. I cant wait for Hillary's wedding and the San Diego Zoo!
We got home on Saturday and had Thanksgiving with my grand parents and mom on Sunday. It was nice to see them, and they loved seeing Jack move all over the place. We had pizza since Mom and Dad's kitchen is being rennovated.
Everything is truly so much more fun with Jack. I cant wait for his birthday and Christmas it is going to be awesome! We are celebrating Mom's birthday tonight.
We just have so much to be thankful for.

11 Months
Growth: No official numbers, but you sure seem taller!!
Sleep: Oh Jack, why wont you sleep very well. You were doing better, but you are getting two more teeth( your top two canines) and sleeping has been rough. Last night was one of the worst sleeping nights to date. You are taking naps more consisently one in the morning, and on in the afternoon.
On the menu: Pretty much everything! You are really interested in eating whatever we eat, and you want to feed it to yourself. Last night you had bits of pork, and black beans and some avacados. Not so crazy about avacados! You love drinking water..and you spit alot of it out. You still nurse a couple of times a day and really enjoy that. It makes you feel much better with all the teething going on!
What's happenin Big News!! You are walking! Just a few steps here and there, but it is crazy. You are so cute because I will just find you standing. You just stand really still and look around. So funny to watch you figure this out. You are going on your first plan ride to Houston on Wednesday so we will see how that goes.
We went to your first birthday party (Koys 1st birthday) over the weekend, and you seemed to really enjoy yourself and the other kids!
Favorite things: You are just a blast. You love to "sneak" up on us and squeal. You pop out behind doors, and the table etc.You make all kinds of sounds and immitate us. You are saying da-da, and now ma-ma. You wave bye, ASL sign for more, show us how much or how big. You love rolling around on the floor with dad, and when he throws you around. You love sitting with me on the floor while I do my makeup and you look at all the different tubes etc. You even meow at the cats now.
Not so favorite things: You do not like bananas. You also hate having your diaper changed, or just lying down not on your terms. You like your new careseat better, but you get tired of being in there pretty quick.
You truly get more fun every day. I just love how you will bring me a book and crawl in my lap. I am excited about planning your birthday party, and all the holidays with you!

First Tech Game
This past Saturday, the three of us went to a Kickball fundraiser that Odessa was having for the Relay. My volunteer asked me if I knew of anybody that might like two tickets to the Tech vs Texas game in a few hours. Chase and I looked at each other and said YES! So we ran back home, threw on our Tech gear and headed to Lubbock. Raymond bought us the LAST parking past and we pulled into the very crowded parking lot with just minutes to spare. We had to hike over to the buses to shuttle us to the stadium. Everyone was super loud and drunk on the bus over. We got to the stadium, and I lugged Jack up to our seats. Way up on the upper level. It was just madness with so many people, and me trying to weave through the crowd with Jack. He really liked looking around for a little bit. Everyone was standing up where we were sitting so it was pretty exhausting holding him. We made it through the first very frustrating quarter, and then Jack had an epic meltdown. I thought he was just sleepy but he just screamed and screamed. I felt every eye in the stadium starring into my soul. We packed up our huge bag of stuff and tried to get the hell out of dodge. We were able to see Raymond and Challis for a few minutes, but Jack wasnt having any of that either. Since we left early there was no bus, so it was a VERY long walk back to the car. My arm and back is still aching today. Sure is a lot harder to walk around campus, lugging a 20 pound plus baby. So glad Chase and I could switch off.
It wasnt a total loss, we went buy Pier 1 and bought a few things, and picked up some Rockfish for the drive home. Chase and I: eating some fish tacos, driving home with a beautiful sunset, and a.... finally sleeping Jack..made it pretty good day. :)

Happy Halloween
Jack had a great first Halloween. He didnt mind wearing his adorable porcupine costume too much. He was really sleepy, when we first put it on him, so he did not want to be set down! So all of our pictures are of us holding him. He passed out in the car and we drove around looking at all the little trick-or-treaters. So cute!
We got to Melanie and Brady's house, and it took awhile for Jack to warm up but he eventually had a good time. We met Kynslee who almost has the same birthday as Jack. It was lots of fun to really dress up this year! I think our costumes were a big hit!!
