Happy Half A Year to Jack!. What a life changing six months. It’s one of those weird life conundrums that you can’t believe it’s been six months but at the same time can’t believe he has only been here six months. He continues to really have his personality come out and it is just so cute! He is so much fun.
Growth: You weighed in at 18 lbs and 13 oz at your six month checkup. They measured you at 25 1/4 inch but the doctor said that couldnt be right, and they didnt stretch you enough. We measured you at home of about 26.5 but you are such a wiggle worm it is hard to say. You are perfectly healthy so we are very thankful for that.
Sleep: We have started a bed time routine with food, bath, bed and sometimes sleep. I do think it has helped your naps during the day to be more consistent. You usually sleeps longer and better in your crib in your room. So that is a step in the right direction! I think in our new house it will be so much better not having to run up and down the stairs.
On the menu: You started solids! So far you have had whole wheat rice cereal, (ugh!), apples, mangos and bananas. Bananas seem to be your favorite so far! Its really fun to watch the faces you make. You still much prefer nursing and thats fine with me too.
What's happenin? Your a little sponge and soak up so much. You are really getting good with your hands. You can pick stuff up, transfer it etc and you can laugh! You really are starting to recognize us and get so happy when Daddy comes home! You also smiled and waived your arms around when I came home yesterday soo cute! You are also drinking out of a sippy cup and even tired a regular cup. You are sitting so so well. You also try to do things I do like type on the computer or the phone!
Favorite things: You seem to like water! And played in the fountain at Dollie and Grandpa's house. You love playing with them too. You also like a cup I gave you to play with in the bath tub. We have our first swim party this weekend. I cant wait to see what you think about that. You Love songs!!! You love to cuddle with us.
Not so favorite things:You get really frustrated when I take things away you are not done playing with. You still dont like going to sleep and fight it so hard!
We close on our house in a few weeks and cant wait to get settled and see you grow up and play there!
