10 Month Old Jack

Growth:  You wake up some days and you just look bigger. We tried to measure you last night and over 27 inches close to 28 is what we came up with, and you are pretty heavy to carry around. We just bought you the next size carseat. It is something else. Now, we just have to figure out how to get it in the car.

Sleep: Sleep has been a little rough with all the new teeth. You just wake up so much. Your naps are really hit and miss, I think you are afraid you are going to miss out on the action. As soon as you wake up you sit straight up. Sometimes you are not even fully awake yet!

On the menu: You enjoy eating your pouches and are starting to eat little bites of meat. You chew really well! But you really like dropping everything off the side of your high chair and especially feeding the dogs your puffs. You belly laugh so hard!  

What's happenin  You have SIX teeth! You have all four top teeth and the two bottoms one. You look so cute with your now toothy grin! We just have to watch out if we stick our fingers in your mouth. Those teeth are sharp. You are pulling up, cruising and even standing by yourself for a few seconds. We got you a little push toy and you have mastered that and walking with that really well. Its crazy to watch you “walk” around the living room.

Favorite things:  You are so much fun and make all kinds of sounds back at us. You will even copy hand motions like when I raise my arms in the air. You seem to understand that Dad is going to come get you and you squeal. You love reading books, playing peek a boo, and feeding the dogs. You just laugh when you see the dogs or cats.

Not so favorite things: When you can’t see us, it makes you upset. When we take toys away when you don’t feel like you are finished you cry now and do this mad little scream. You still hate going to sleep. You also do not like changing clothes.


We have so much fun with you. Even though, you are a little more difficult to watch because you get in to EVERYTHING. Especially cabinets, we love seeing your fun personality come out. You are so sweet and a little bit ornery!

Pumpking Patch

We took our first trip to the pumpkin patch as a family. We had a great time with Lucy, Michael and Koy. It was very cold, and a little bit more work than we had anticpated. I think in a few years Jack and Koy will really enjoy it. Jack just wanted down the whole time and it was just dirt. It still felt like a very fall activity and I am all for that. Jack was very interested in all the animals. He really seemed to like the pigs and cows. So that was fun to see him so aware of his surrondings. We got some great pictures too. At dinner, Jack and Koy played together really well. It was so cute to see them interact. Such cute boys. We really enjoy having a family that we can all hang out with.

Traveling Family!

It seems like all we have done lately is travel. I have done lots of trips to Lubbock for work and we just got back from Dallas and East Texas for Division Summit and some family time with the Ragsdales. Jack and Chase had a great time in the hotel while I was at the conference. So cute how they bonded even more! I think Jack had a  blast exploring everywhere, and maybe Chase has a little more respect for me taking care of him most of the time.

We went to East Texas to show Jack off to all of Chase's family. It was so nice to see everyone and to meet Miss Maddie. She is so cute and almost walking. I dont think Jack is too far off. He has been standing for just a few seconds on his own!

So excited to spend some time at home! It has just been a whirlwind with traveling, and Jack and Chase not feeling well. I cant wait to just be a homebody for a little bit. We are planning a trip to the pumpkin patch this weekend and excited to welcome in fall...my very favorite season!
